Best Buy Recycle
Best Buy is where I go when I want new electronics.  Electronics get old and need to be replaced as technology changes.  But what do you do with the old stuff?  How many of you have an old TV or computer monitor somewhere collecting dust?  I am guilty!  You should never throw them away as they can be very damaging to the environment, yet technology is the fastest growing waste stream on the planet.   As one of the world’s largest retailers of consumer electronics, Best Buy wants to be part of the solution to this issue.

Best Buy’s industry-leading recycling efforts are available for free in every Best Buy location in Puerto Rico and the U.S. and it doesn’t matter where – or when – you bought it.  Bring your old electronics to your local Best Buy and they will safely and responsibly dispose of them.  In fact, Best Buy recycles 387 pounds of electronics each minute their stores are open.

Did you know that Best Buy carries a whole line of Energy Star certified products as well?  Recycle your old electronics and upgrade to more energy efficient ones = win win for your pocket and the planet!

I have some things that I am going to bring in to be recycled: an ancient computer monitor that weighs as much as a toddler, plus two old printers.  If you have ever recycled your electronics at Best Buy, I would love to hear your experiences so please leave a comment.
